Upon the receipt of a project proposal, a Proposal Appraisal Review and Vetting Committee (PAREV) is set up to analyze the requests and make recommendations

A project proposal is eligible for selection if it falls within the EPF mandate through one of the following EPF operational windows:

Window 1: Conflict prevention and capacity building activities, including preventive diplomacy, Early warning system, Peace building, training and sensitization programmers, Good Governance and Human rights

Window 2: Humanitarian assistance, peacebuilding and post conflict reconstruction activities including: electoral processes, disarmament, demobilization and rehabilitation programmes, as well as socioeconomic activities etc.

Window 3: Deployment for conflict management and Peace Support Operations, civilian, police and military component

The ECOWAS Volunteers Programme (EVP) is a demand-driven flagship programme of the ECOWAS Commission. It seeks to harness and inject the expertise and professional and personal contributions of mainly young citizens into the process of the implementation of national development agenda of their host countries and communities. As they do so, they also build and develop their own capacities through contacts with their new professional and social-cultural environments and the lessons derived therefrom.
